Vashon Golf & Swim Club, whose golf course has its origins in the mid 1920s, was established in 1965 and maintains a strong core group of members, who are working hard to assure that this Vashon gem thrives into the future, for our children and grandchildren to enjoy. In recent years, the clubhouse has been completely renovated, adding new terrace and deck dining areas, modernizing the kitchen, and uncovering and refinishing a beautiful hardwood floor in the sunroom. Continuous improvements have made the golf course playable year-round and allow the pool to be open for five months of the year.

Course Details

The scenic nine hole, 5900 yard par 70/71 course, situated on a hilltop with an outstanding view of Quartermaster Harbor and the majestic Olympic mountain range, is a challenging test of golf skills. With its manicured fairways and sloping greens, it is designed so that any golfer, regardless of skill, can play a stimulating round of golf.

Every hole is creative with changes in elevation, doglegs to the right and left, and sloping fairway lies that open to lightning-fast greens. An unusual feature of the course is that, with the exception of the 200 yard par 3 fifth hole, a player cannot see the green from the tee, thereby creating the dual challenge of proper club selection and good ball striking. Truly, this layout is a cut above the usual small country club course.

Par-3 executive (short course) tees available:
Our challenging 9-hole course has alternate tee boxes for the back nine, plus for those who want a shorter course, we offer par-3 executive (short course) tee boxes. These tees are great for someone wanting a faster round of golf, and for new, junior and older golfers.
